Lumbini Medical College & Research Center Pvt. Ltd. is located in the lap of lotus Pond "Kamal pokhari" of Pravas in the south of the peaceful town of Tansen municipality, Palpa district, Lumbini Zone.

Tansen, the district administration headquarters of Palpa one out of 75 districts in Nepal, has been a Municipality since 1957. It is often referred to as Palpa and its people as "Palpalis". Tansen is frequently visited for its famous "Palpali Dhaka and Palpali Karuwa" . Palpa has a moderate climate with temperature varying from 8^O to 28^O centigrade.

Lumbini MedicalCollege is named such because it is near to Lumbini, a place in south western Terai of Nepal, the birth place of Prince Siddartha, later to be the Buddha Shakyamuni the apostle of peace and the light of Asia. Lumbini in Sanskrit means "lovely" and is a Buddhist Pilgrimage.

Buses to Tansen ply from the bus station Gongabu in Kathmandu. It is also possible to take a flight to either Pokhara or Bhairahawa from where Lumbini Medical College is approximately three to four hours drive. It can be entered from India via Borders of Nepal:

Climate

Palpa is bestowed with a good share from the bounty of natural beauty that can't be pictured through words; painting won't be a good either. The free soul of a free life only can behold and marvel at it. Tansen can be visited at any time of the year. As it lies in an altitude of 1372 meters, the climate of Palpa varies from tropical to moderate. Tansen is moderate to warm and lies between 8⁰ Celsius minimum in the winter and 28 ^o Celsius as the maximum during summer. The months of June and July have maximum rain.
